Collapsable Baby Stroller

Project Goals

The goal was to design a conceptual baby stroller that could be easily collapsed and be stored.

This was an individual project during my internship at Zaaf Design and was supervised by Federico Rossi.

While working with sketches I explored many different types of mechanisms and ways to collapse the stroller's frame to minimize space.

One of the more complicated interaction points was the foot break and collapsing mechanism. This component not only had to hold the tensioning weight of the support poles, but it also house the axels and rotating pivot for the wheel assembly to minimize space as it collapsed.
